Y Ffarmers, nestled in the charming village of Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn, is quickly becoming a must-visit Welsh restaurant. The ambiance captivates with its beautifully restored interior and cozy seating, perfect for a leisurely meal. Sunday lunches here stand out, with customers praising the tender Welsh lamb and beef, often described as “one of the best” they've had. The menu showcases a blend of innovative and classic dishes, including the Baked Hake Fillet with couscous and harissa sauce, and the mouthwatering Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Vegetarians will find delightful options like the Cauliflower Garlic Schnitzel, ensuring that all tastes are catered to. Service is consistently highlighted as friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff ensures that guests feel welcomed and valued. Some diners have encountered slight mishaps, such as a snail on their plate, but these incidents have not dampened their enthusiasm, attesting to the deliciousness of the food. Absolutely delicious Sunday roast . Two of us had the turkey and two had the lamb. The produce was cooked to prefection. Apart from one of the plates came with a live snail who must have sneaked in on the fresh rainbow chard luckily it was noticed before consumption. It’s is testament to how delicious the food was that this did not deter us from eating the plate. Great value for money . Lovely options of non alcoholic drinks too .

What a wonderful find - stayed in the area and managed to book a cancellation spot for Easter Sunday. We arrived early and were happy to have drinks in the bar but they offered our table to us which was fab service. The Sunday lunch was one of the best we’ve ever had out - the lamb just melted away. Absolutely delicious. Really friendly and attentive staff - thank you so much!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. Everything nice and fresh and homemade. Vegetarian and vegan options avaliable. The Welsh lamb and Welsh beef were so tender and tasty. Desserts were all homemade, the honey cheesecake was delicious. Good selection of drinks to choose from. The restaurant was much larger than we expected, but I would recommend booking a table. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

I ordered the Steak and Kidney pie and the Posset, both of which were really excellent. Both the pie and the Posset, I was told, were made in-house, as is all their food. If the rest of the menu is as good as this, it'll be a fine dining experience for all.

Beautifully restored pub, spacious seating area and warming fires on a very cold day. Excellent Sunday lunch. We both enjoyed it immensely. I only tend to review when I can be positive.

Lovely pub, food was delicious, I I was a local I would be going back regularly. I enjoyed soup of the day, lamb Rogan Josh and cheesecake, my husband enjoyed ham hock fritter, pie of the day and apple crumble slice. Lovely building staff and food.

What a fabulous find. We were on an open day visit to Aberystwyth and came across their website which looked great so we booked. Well worth booking. You pop out into a fabulous little village and this gem. Friendly welcome, lovely surroundings and decor. Good wine list and the food was fantastic. Well presented, good portion size and tastes to die for. I had the pie if the day which was a proper pie, not puff pastry lid. Full of meat and fabulous gravy. My daughter had the Welsh lamb cooked beautifully, the honey comb ice cream and my rhubarb and custard desert were just as wonderful. It is now firmly in my Google saved places list. Lovely visit and did I mention the fab staff? Recommend very highly.
